About

I was born in Venice in 1982, where I studied graphic design. I started working for advertising and web agencies in 2001.

In 2007 I decided to start my own business as a freelancer, and to explore new fields attending a summer course in Interaction Design at the Domus Academy in Milan and Industrial Design courses at the Scuola Italiana Design of Padova.

I approached product design through competitions, some of which I won with products currently on sale. Now I work in the furniture design and lighting fields, either with companies or self-producing my projects.
Self-production is the most exciting challenge, as it makes it possible for me to follow all aspects of the project.
I am also a teacher and coordinator of the course in PTP Graphic Design at IED Venice and recently I’ve become a student in Ancient Art History and Archeology.

As a reaction to my “two-dimensional” education (graphics and web) I feel a deep attraction for “real” materials. By “real” I mean “honest”, the ones which show their nature without imitating other materials or hiding their flaws.
Marble, wood, ceramic, glass are all part of our Italian craftsmanship tradition and can easily be approached thanks to the many workshops still extant. The common heritage of knowledge which we can gain is invaluable.
