Casa d’Artista – Civita di Bagnoregio

It was an honor when, thanks to Source Firenze, Studio DWA asked me to donate some of my products for the “Casa d’Artista” in Civita di Bagnoregio. A project in collaboration with Airbnb and the major of the city. You can book the house here, and see my Marbled Stools, GranTurismo and Muse.

Casa d’Artista is a detached stone house, built on two levels. In 1993, the house underwent a partial collapse, and today you can still see the ancient walls that were part of the original structure. Thanks to the intervention of the City of Bagnoregio and Airbnb, it has now been converted into an artist enclave that will become an inspiring space for everyone who wants to stay here.

Francesco Simeti finished the house’s inner works with art inspired by the orchids and historical paintings of the Italian Renaissance. He used a mix of techniques, ranging from fabric to bronze sculptures. The house, designed by Studio DWA, pays homage to its original structure, and is designed to accommodate 1 to 5 people and is divided into 4 different areas to stay, study, work, and rest.
