In the exhibits he is having displayed at Ventura Lambrate 2015 fuori salone, his research on materials reaches unexpected antinomies – discarded wooden slats used in industrial lacquering are turned into luxurious ethnic decor; what looks like solid granite turns out to be a conglomeration of soft polyurethane; traditional lampshades strike a balance between tribal style and textures beyond post-modernism. His projects may look simple at first sight but there is something decidedly surprising in them, which derives from his ‘materialistic’ approach to design.
